Vivecraft updates to version 1.15.2

The popular VR Minecraft mod, Vivecraft, has been updated to support Minecraft 1.15.2. This update to the game adds all things bee-related. Vivecraft’s developers announced Forge support is not available right now but it is currently being worked on to be included in a future patch. Don’t let the name fool you, Vivecraft is supported on all of the major VR headsets (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index) giving all players access to this incredible experience. The [redacted] Chamber heads to Boneworks later today

Boneworks is receiving an update later today which adds the [redacted] Chamber, the Tuscany demo and a handgun course. Brandon Laatsch, one of the developers behind Boneworks, has uploaded a YouTube video detailing everything about the [redacted] Chamber and why it was missing from the final build of the game. The handgun course also introduces a brand new pistol to the game, giving you the perfect environment to try out the new weapon.

The Half-Life: Alyx team break down the game’s locomotion options

Whether you are just a fan of Half-Life: Alyx or an upcoming VR developer wanting to learn some new tricks, Valve has recently uploaded a video breaking down the game’s locomotion options. You might assume the teleportation method used in Half-Life: Alyx would be simple to implement since many games use a similar mechanic, however, the video makes it very clear how complex handling movement can be. We’d recommend checking out the video even if you aren’t a VR fan, it’s not every day you get an insight into Valve’s development process.
