ESL, Ubisoft and Microsoft have teamed up to host the global Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League competition which will be held in the first week of March 2016. The opening ceremony will be on 4th March at the Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice, Poland and will showcase eight matches as part of the European PC competition, with competition on the Xbox One and in North America to follow. Each season of Pro League Competition will gather eight teams from each region on PC and Xbox One. The best four teams (two from each region) will be invited to compete in the Season Finals for a chance to win a share of the $100,000 (USD) prize.
This is awesome news for Rainbow Six Siege fans and marks an unexpected commitment by ESL and Ubisoft to support their growing community. As a result, this will provide a platform for casual players and aspiring competitors to watch, support and enjoy competition.
